We Are The Public Sphere engages in critical debates about the role of making information public in the formation of consensus in a democratic society. It questions the disjunction of emerging forms of public participation through social media and new media in contrast to the concentration of wealth and power produced by economic policies. It reports on signs of an emerging transformation of social and political life through observation of contemporary culture, art, and design. We Are The Public Sphere is a project of Publicizing Creative Work at Parsons The New School for Design.
